About me

Hello, my name is Rosie McLoughlin, and I’m the founder of Wild Rose Forest Therapy.

As a certified Forest Bathing Guide and Applied Psychologist, I bring over 12 years of experience in mental health to my practice. I guide gentle, sensory nature walks designed to soothe the mind and restore your connection to the beauty of the woodland. My approach is warm, comfortable, accessible, and friendly—ensuring everyone feels welcome on my walks.

Nature has always been a nourishing place for me to slow down and reflect, whether listening to birdsong, watching swaying trees, or following the flow of rivers. My journey with Forest Bathing began in 2013, after attending a walk with Caitlin Keddie in Glasgow. That experience—mindfully slowing down, finding awe in small moments, and connecting with others—sparked a passion to learn more about this special practice. In 2021, I completed my Forest Bathing Guide training with Forest Therapy Hub. Despite my background in Psychology, I discovered exciting new theories and the science behind the benefits of Forest Bathing.

We all need ways to calm and recharge amid life’s stressors. For me, Forest Bathing and nature connection practices are the most restorative, and I love sharing these experiences with others.

Alongside years of nature connection and guiding walks in varied spaces, I have a 15-year mindfulness and meditation practice, grounding me in the present and deepening my understanding in the world. My experience as a psychologist and psychotherapist—having worked with hundreds of clients from all walks of life—brings comfort and confidence to my guidance, allowing me to create truly special experiences.
